“If I receive even a third of what Arshad was given, I would be happy,” says Ali

Haider Ali, Pakistan’s celebrated para-athlete, recently expressed disappointment over the lack of recognition for his accomplishments, despite earning multiple medals in five Paralympic Games. In an interview, he highlighted disparities in rewards compared to other athletes, noting that his achievements have not been acknowledged with the same enthusiasm or support. Financial constraints and limited facilities in Pakistan have added to his challenges. Although he was promised a meeting with the Prime Minister for his recent win in Paris, Ali has yet to receive any acknowledgment. Despite this, he remains committed to representing Pakistan.
